Its no secret that the agency has committed very questionable actions in the past, that even made Bill Clinton make an public apology for experiments conducted over the population of the United States over an specific experiment with "medical treatments" on black population, or even consider how many operations back in the 70´s, 80´s even 90´s when the agency and other agencies made questionable actions, this letter doesn't take anyone by surprise considering this type of background.
Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon, the longest-serving member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, sent a brief but provocative letter to CIA Director John Ratcliffe on Wednesday. It read, “I write to alert you to a classified letter I sent you earlier today, in which I express deep concerns about CIA activities. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.”

This came to everyone's attention after the Senator published an press release about this letter posting it online.
Subtle, it was not.
“This is how Sen. Ron Wyden clues the public into activity that he finds extremely alarming,” The New York Times’ Kashmir Hill noted. “He does a press release about a letter he sent to the director of the CIA that basically says, ‘I want to make sure you saw the classified letter I sent early today.’”
Others like Charlotte Clymer a writer on united states politics posted its comments on social media platforms like this that the decision of the senator to make it public like this showed some real concern over this.
The director hasn´t replied so far to the senator concerns which raises more questions than answers over the agency.

It is common o very well known that the intelligence community often doesn't comment over their activities publicly and often are not so keen to discuss or even acknowledge actions to the intelligence senate committee. If the agency believes Wyden’s alarm is unwarranted, it can say so, but to treat his alarm as a “badge of honor” reflects a CIA that’s been politicized.
Some reporters comment that given the Senators track record we haven't heard the last of this subject.
